Enter a caption for the file Powered by Techone the Futuretech digital Ballasts are among the most efficient and reliable Digital ballasts on the market today. Techone’s business is making ballasts that is what they do, they are experts in the field of electronics; together with Futuretech they bring us a new dimension to HID lighting. We do not make false claims about products that is not our way; in Laymen’s terms a magnetic ballast draws significantly more input power than a good digital ballast whilst also delivering less output power. For example a decent magnetic will use around 640-660w of power and only deliver around 550-560w output giving a power loss of 90-100w. Futuretech 600w Digital ballasts draw 620w and put out 570w of power therefore only giving a power loss of 50w. This concept is often misunderstood and that is why a lot of people ask the question do digital ballasts produce more light for your money. To an extent they do but this is expressed more in terms of a better efficiency than more light however there is evidence of slightly higher lumen outputs too.

600w Dimmable Ballast
The new dimmable model allows you to turn down the current as well as output of your 600w lamp therefore giving the option of starting plants off slower and more gradually or indeed on a hot day you may wish to turn down the light but still provide enough Lumens for Growth.
Digitals run a lot cooler than magnetic ballasts, are easier and more practical to work with and are quite simply the future in horticultural lighting. We don’t think it will be too long before your street lamps go digital too!
